Lean Operation.  We minimize operational costs and expenses, move quickly between expeditions, rapidly mobilize support and actively seek collaboration and partnerships to further our mission.

Mobility.  We engage multiple expeditions each year in a riverine whistle-stop campaign, directly and indirectly meeting and inspiring millions of people, covering thousands of miles and interfacing with hundreds of organizations.

Economically Feasible Solutions.  We identify and promote solutions that equally balance human, economic and environmental health with multi-generational sustainability. 

Captivating Media.  Through our television programming, relationships, web presence, news and social media outlets, we are able to reach a potential audience of millions of people right in their living rooms who may or may not be exposed to the dangers of water pollution.

Inclusiveness.We collaborate with all interested watershed stakeholders to identify, generate and share information, drawing on our diverse networks and the support our expeditions inspire.

Holistic Public Policy.  Water supplies exist in a continuum, so we advocate for public and private policy that treat all forms of water as a valuable resource.

Grounded and inspired by these values, we are protectors of our nation’s watersheds, rivers and oceans and we seek to win the hearts and minds of Americans through reason, moral suasion and emphasis on human welfare.

1. Lead expeditions throughout both critically impaired and vibrant, healthy watersheds;
2. Relate our observations through film;
3. Generate interactive online narratives of our observations;
4. Connect and collaborate with individuals, organizations and entities interested in and working to improve water quality;
5. Develop and install First – Alert water monitoring equipment;
6. Offer interactive educational materials and action items to engage people in their watersheds; and
7. Foster an intimate relationship with rivers and bodies of water through water recreation.
