Google Earth with layers embedded (please be patient, this takes about 30 seconds to load)
To research your home town, use the instructions below to navigate within the Google Earth environment. There is lots of data in this version, so it is best to zoom in to make the data more manageable.
| Left mouse- click and drag Google Earth to center on region |
| Right mouse - click and drag to zoom and rotate on region |
| Roller Ball - zoom in and out |
| Roller Ball - click + move mouse to change view angle, this is useful when pushpins have an altitude attribute linked to an emission amout |
List of API Layers Embedded into individual browsers, you may need to allow pop-ups for this to launch properly, but it will enable you to design a dashboard of sorts if you resize the windows appropriately.
Some of these layers are from sources within Google Outreach and some are layers from data that we pulled, compiled, and otherwised arranged from publicly funded sources. We believe in Creative Commons licensing and invite you to share these openly throughout the web.

NPDES - Point source pollution database
TRI - Toxic Release Inventory data, this includes Underground Injection Control, water discharge, air discharge, etc... provides links to historical quantities as well as medical advice regarding exposure to various toxic chemicals.
