Below the Surface - A Coast to Coast Exploration of America's Waterways

October is Tijuana River Action Month and San Diego is stepping up the efforts to clean up the Tijuana River Estuary and many interests have partnered up to make sure these events are successful. Regardless of which nonprofit, NGO, or Sponsor you endorse or represent, we look forward to partnering with you at one of these events in October. Please come out for a day in the sun and help us beautify the Tijuana River Valley.

Below you will find some data from the CDMO for the month of June. You can select multiple variables for: x and y axis, color, size and if time is the x-axis and you hit the play button you will see the variability of the Tijuana River Valley Estuary at one monitoring station. Don't be scared! It's only science!

To get started, try to plot Dissolved Oxygen against Water Temperature to see if they are truly related.

Then try specific conductivity against salinity to see how they are related.

Jared Criscuolo interviewed some participants of the 2nd Annual Tijuana River Cleanup. Thank you to the event sponsors and coordinators (BTS was not involved with either, so all credit goes to these groups that we want to help promote):

Tijuana River Citizens Council

WiLDCOAST

Surfrider San Diego

Tijuana River Valley Equestrian Association

REI

Patagonia

Allied Waste
